Презентація того, що має стати наріжним каменем
Мені пощастило зазирнути за лаштунки і побачити чернетки роботи під робочою назвою «Інформація як живе явище і організм. Зустріч з Іншим, де Інше — зовсім Інше».
Це не просто черговий текст про інформаційне суспільство. Переді мною — фундаментальна філософська розвідка, що претендує стати наріжним каменем цілої інституції. Автор веде читача крізь етимологію, генеалогію визначень, поверхи буття, еволюцію носіїв, домівки інформації та її споживачів, аж до моменту, коли звичний порядок перевертається: той, хто звик споживати інформацію, сам стає спожитим.
Текст ще не дописаний, але вже на цьому етапі вражає глибина, системність і сміливість підходу. Тут немає спрощень — автор витримує всю складність предмета, не уникаючи його двоїстості. Інформація постає одночасно явищем і організмом, величиною і живим, аверсом і реверсом. Особливо сильне відчуття виникає, коли філософська традиція (від античності до сучасності) зустрічається зі свідченнями митців і фантастів, які часто бачили далі за теоретиків.
Робота тримає інтригу до останньої сторінки. Вона не дає готових відповідей — вона формує спосіб бачення. І саме цей спосіб бачення, здається, і стане тією основою, на якій виростатиме подальша робота Інституту.
Мабуть, я в захваті. Чекаю завершення з великим нетерпінням.
Eine Vorstellung dessen, was zum Grundstein werden soll
Ich hatte das Glück, hinter die Kulissen zu blicken und die Entwürfe einer Arbeit unter dem Arbeitstitel „Information als lebendiges Phänomen und Organismus. Die Begegnung mit dem Anderen, wo das Andere ganz Anderes ist" zu sehen.
Dies ist nicht bloß ein weiterer Text über die Informationsgesellschaft. Vor mir liegt eine grundlegende philosophische Untersuchung, die den Anspruch erhebt, zum Grundstein einer ganzen Institution zu werden. Der Autor führt den Leser durch die Etymologie, die Genealogie der Definitionen, die Stockwerke des Seins, die Evolution der Träger, die Wohnstätten der Information und ihrer Konsumenten — bis zu dem Augenblick, in dem sich die gewohnte Ordnung umkehrt: wer gewohnt ist, Information zu konsumieren, wird selbst konsumiert.
Der Text ist noch nicht vollendet, doch schon auf dieser Stufe beeindrucken die Tiefe, die Systematik und der Mut des Ansatzes. Hier gibt es keine Vereinfachungen — der Autor hält die ganze Komplexität des Gegenstands aus, ohne seiner Zweiheit auszuweichen. Information erscheint zugleich als Phänomen und Organismus, als Größe und als Lebendiges, als Vorder- und Rückseite. Ein besonders starker Eindruck entsteht, wenn die philosophische Tradition (von der Antike bis zur Gegenwart) auf die Zeugnisse von Künstlern und Fantasten trifft, die oft weiter gesehen haben als die Theoretiker.
Die Arbeit hält die Spannung bis zur letzten Seite. Sie gibt keine fertigen Antworten — sie formt eine Weise des Sehens. Und gerade diese Weise des Sehens wird, so scheint es, zu jenem Fundament, auf dem die weitere Arbeit des Instituts wächst.
Ich bin, wie ich gestehe, begeistert. Ich erwarte die Vollendung mit großer Ungeduld.
A presentation of what is to become the cornerstone
I was fortunate to look behind the scenes and see the drafts of a work under the provisional title "Information as a Living Phenomenon and Organism. The Encounter with the Other, where the Other is wholly Other."
This is not just another text about the information society. Before me lies a fundamental philosophical inquiry that lays claim to becoming the cornerstone of an entire institution. The author leads the reader through etymology, the genealogy of definitions, the storeys of being, the evolution of media, the dwellings of information and its consumers — up to the moment when the familiar order is overturned: the one accustomed to consuming information is himself consumed.
The text is not yet finished, yet even at this stage its depth, its systematic reach and the boldness of its approach are striking. There are no simplifications here — the author sustains the full complexity of the subject without avoiding its duality. Information appears at once as phenomenon and organism, as magnitude and as something living, as obverse and reverse. A particularly strong impression arises when the philosophical tradition (from antiquity to the present) meets the testimony of artists and writers of fiction, who have often seen further than the theorists.
The work holds its intrigue to the last page. It gives no ready answers — it forms a way of seeing. And it is this way of seeing, it seems, that will become the foundation on which the further work of the Institute grows.
I am, I confess, delighted. I await its completion with great impatience.
Una presentación de lo que ha de convertirse en piedra angular
Tuve la suerte de mirar entre bastidores y ver los borradores de una obra bajo el título provisional «La información como fenómeno y organismo vivo. El encuentro con el Otro, donde lo Otro es completamente Otro».
No es un texto más sobre la sociedad de la información. Ante mí se encuentra una investigación filosófica fundamental que aspira a convertirse en la piedra angular de toda una institución. El autor conduce al lector a través de la etimología, la genealogía de las definiciones, los pisos del ser, la evolución de los soportes, las moradas de la información y de sus consumidores, hasta el momento en que el orden habitual se invierte: quien está acostumbrado a consumir información se vuelve él mismo consumido.
El texto aún no está terminado, pero ya en esta etapa impresionan la profundidad, la sistematicidad y la audacia del enfoque. Aquí no hay simplificaciones — el autor sostiene toda la complejidad del objeto sin eludir su dualidad. La información aparece a la vez como fenómeno y organismo, como magnitud y como algo vivo, como anverso y reverso. Una impresión especialmente fuerte surge cuando la tradición filosófica (de la antigüedad a la actualidad) se encuentra con los testimonios de artistas y autores de ficción, que a menudo han visto más lejos que los teóricos.
La obra mantiene la intriga hasta la última página. No da respuestas hechas — forma un modo de ver. Y es precisamente este modo de ver, al parecer, el que se convertirá en la base sobre la que crecerá el trabajo futuro del Instituto.
Estoy, lo confieso, entusiasmado. Espero su conclusión con gran impaciencia.
